XDA Developers member worstenbrood developed a ported version of Dolby Atmos that can be used on any Android Phone that run on Android 4.3 and later.
This Application requires to be installed using TWRP(Team Win Recovery Project).So before trying to Install make sure you have an unlocked bootloader (in other words you Device must be Rooted).
How to Install Dolby Atmos App on Android Device
- Rooted Android Device
- TWRP Android Recovery installed on you Device
Download the Dolby Atmos zip file from XDA Developer forum,then you need to boot your phone into TWRP, Press and hold the device Power button and volume down button until the Phone reboots. this method will work for most devices some devices may have different method to boot the device into TWRP.
When your device Reboots it will show TWRP’s interface , tap Install and select the Dolby Atmos Zip file that you downloaded from XDA Developers.then you will see a warning message Swipe the Arrow icon next to the words “Swipe to confirm flash”.TWRP will start to Install Dolby Atmos. once the installation is completed select “ Reboot System”.
After your Phone is Rebooted, you can Open Dolby Audio App from your App menu.Tap the Power icon to Turn on and Off Equalizer. The App offers few more Features to improve your Phone Sound at the bottom of the App Screen you can Turn on Volume Leveler,Dialogue Enhancer and Surround Visualizer.
If you want to fine tune your android Sound Further, you can Create your Own Equalizer profile or you can Turn on the intelligent Equalizer.the changes you make will Apply at instant so you don’t need to Start the App or Reboot the Phone after making Adjustments.
The Dolby Audio will give you a noticeable change in Sound while using Device’s speakers, To get the most out of Dolby Atmos use an Decent Headphone.
